Emporium - Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times
Sorry for taking a while to get to this update! I'm collecting the ingredients Malila told me to, as you can see it's cloudy and raining again...



There's already a bunch that I need around my dorms, I can collect as many as I want or just bring her one and get the same result.

I found another classmate outside the school! This time a weasel (I think?) in a leather jacket



....ANYWAY

A second classmate was also hanging around. He's kinda creepy but at least he has pupils in-game.

I won't hang around here too long because classmates like casting fart spells around here. And no one wants that.



Next to Malila's is an entrance to the beach! You can fish + catch bugs here



I caught a snail along the shore which I'll come back to in a moment.



At the end of the beach is a staircase leading to the cliff. There's usually mushrooms/flowers growing here and you can see a heart shape in front of me. This is where classmates confess their feelings to you, either asking you out or asking you to be their 'best friend'. You can actually date two people and have two best friends which can be kind of awkward. Hopefully someone confesses so I can show it!



Nigel asks to hang out on the way back from the beach so he'll be joining me for the rest of the update.



After checking everywhere on the right side of the map I've crossed the bridge to the left side. This building greets me immediately, and Nigel is trailing behind somewhere.



Inside are... a bunch of books. Even the stairs are books. Remember the snail I caught?



I can feed it to those books (the left one handles fish). They give materials depending on the creature's size + rarity. The snail wasn't very big so I didn't get much :/

I'll be coming back to that empty chair shortly.

Outside I meet a new neighbour! He's kinda weird looking but is the game's equivalent to the 'lazy' personality in AC, which is one of my favourites.

And another one nearby! I thought this guy was both female and a tapir when I first saw him and I was..completely wrong oops. 



Further up is the forest! There's usually a lot more plants/insects here than any other part of the map.



Inside that hole is a clearing full of giant mushrooms, I love the graphics here. The noodle stand is usually here or at the beach depending on the time of day!



With a classmate I can just eat here, but he provides some useful info which I'll try and go into if I catch him when I'm alone.



I go deeper into the forest and manage to find some more mushrooms! We'll be seeing a lot of the forest and the last few locations it links to really soon, but for now I'll be heading back to Malila.




After I give Malila everything she rewards me with an item along with some money! I can do jobs for her daily which is a great way to earn money and materials.



I also decided to stop off here since I had Nigel with me (and also wanted to learn today's song).



Marcy gives some relationship advice because this game assumes you want to date everyone lmao, all the times I've played this game and she's always given me the same description so I'm not sure if I can influence it? The classmates have different ones at least.



After leaving Nigel decides to tell me his ideal girlfriend is 'strong' but then has second thoughts lol. I'm gonna end it here and next time I'll be taking some classes and hopefully entering mystery time!
