// Part 2

I had the urge to replay Magician's Quest/Enchanted Folk... and thought it'd be fun to log my experience this time! There's a lot to do in the game so hopefully everyone will find it interesting :'3c I'll be explaining some of the game but this LP will mostly be casual!

Main Theme - Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times
The opening title - I should note that this is the American version I'm playing, there aren't many differences between it and the European version besides the name and music. In Europe it's known as Enchanted Folk and the School of Wizardry, and the American version has the original classical music of the Japanese game while the European one has completely different music (the American/Japanese music is much better).

The Room of the Beginning and End is going to play a huge part in this game... I'll explain more when it becomes relevant.

Principal Sol
The principal of the school, his design looks a little different because I'm using art from a later game. He plays a lot of important roles in the game.. so expect to see him a lot

There's some simple character customization.. you can pick gender, hair style/colour, skin tone, and some different eye shapes. You get to input your birthday too, as you can see the game has its own zodiac! I'm the 'Whirler' which makes me the 'creative type' according to Sol. I also get to pick a name for the school (this is the first time I've played and not called it Hogwarts haha..). To the right you can see my Wizard ID - I can earn stars and level up or do various tasks to earn myself new titles.

The gateway leads to my dorms, and that door behind me leads to the Room of the Beginning and End. We'll be seeing that quite a lot.

Anyway, as you can see I'm greeted by...

Reginald
Who I think is... a pumpkin? He's really grumpy but we'll get to see some more of his personality later ;3c

Reginald leads me to my room which is currently bare. Like Animal Crossing I can buy furniture to decorate, but for now Reginald gives me a free cupboard which you can see in the top left corner! You can also see my inventory icon...

...which leads to the menu screen. The buttons at the bottom are used for navigation (there's a spell list and mailbox for example). I'm currently viewing the Town Map though. Those treehouse icons are all homes belonging to the villagers/classmates, I'll be showing off the town properly soon!!

I meet up with Reginald after checking out my room and he takes me to the school, there's a really cool effect where the school will slowly come into view on the top screen as you walk towards it. I think the design is really cool ;__;

Inside I meet Sol who suddenly looks very different... depending on the time of day he'll change appearance! Behind him is the door leading to your classroom, and I'll show off the other rooms later.

This is the classroom. The top screen will usually have instructions written out on it when I'm attending specific classes. I'll be learning about spells and stuff soon but for now my classes will be the tutorial levels which I won't cover. As you can see there are four seats, three other students will attend each class! Sometimes they'll pass notes and will also ask to hang out once class is over.

I'm given a hat and wand which I need to perform magic. The wand can also transform into a bug net, shovel, and fishing rod which is cool! You switch to this mode by spinning in a circle which is super cute.

I'm gonna end this entry with a quick introduction of my classmates! I'll be adding more as I meet new characters.

Ralph
First up is Ralph who's actually one of my favourite characters ;; I'll probably end up being bffs with him

Another cutie!! I've never had her before but look at her omg

Johnson
And finally Johnson... I hate him already

A cool thing about the classmates in this game is they all have their own catchphrase and personality type, but are made much more unique because they react to your actions. If they see you talking to another classmate or even picking weeds they'll quickly spread rumours about you. I'm hoping to capture some conversations as bonus content or something eventually because they say some really funny stuff. You can also date them so there's..that.
